Director Pak Lam Chui’s Hong Kong action-thriller starts off with the kidnapping of a professor whom explorer Lisa Li (Carrie Ng) has hired to help her locate a crystal reputed to have magical powers. Li recruits former cop Chi Liang (Donnie Yen) and current policewoman Wu (Sibelle Hu) to help her track down the professor’s kidnappers in a remote Southeast Asian jungle. The film follows their attempts to rescue Lau and find the crystal.
